A Private Yoga lesson is the most effective way to experience the benefits of the practice.
Private yoga lessons allow you to work privately with a Yoga Teacher. Working one-on-one or semi-privately creates a practice that makes sense for your body and your level of experience. While all yoga supports you physically, emotionally, and spiritually, a private yoga lesson focuses on you specifically.
A private yoga session with Mary will not only honour the original format for teaching yoga but will offer the experience of working with a highly skilled, caring and certified RYT500 yoga teacher. A yoga practice with Mary ensures that you are gently guided in the right direction for your particular needs, that you work towards the goals that suit your body and your temperament, and that you maximize your own personal growth. Based on her experience and knowledge and your goals and state of mind, Mary determines wh ich asanas (postures), breathing practices and meditation techniques to lead you through. Mary can also create a self practice suitable to your lifestyle and needs.
Develop a Personal Yoga Practice. Let Mary create a 5 minute yoga practice specifically designed for your body. Practice this everyday for 5 minutes and experience improved health and an overall sense of wellbeing.
The cost for a Private Yoga Session starts at $120 per in-home visit, fee may be adjusted depending on location, length and other factors. The fee for an in-studio private is $100. Please note that preparation of a personal practice requires two sessions, one to get to know you and your physical requirements and a follow up session to review and safely learn to your new practice.

Why seek out private instruction?
- The whole concept of a Yoga "class" is a relatively new concept to the history of the practice. For most of it's history, Yoga was not taught in group classes, but as a one-on-one practice. Teachers traveled to the homes of students and shared their knowledge of this amazing practice. Working privately with a teacher ensures that as your body and mind develops and changes through your yoga practice that your practice reflects these changes to maintain the benefits and encourage further growth.
